Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Which contact heads come with the standard PRO Plus package?
The current US product page lists five percussive heads—Dampener, Standard Ball, Thumb, Wedge and Micro-point—plus a Heated Percussive Plus and Vibration Plus attachment. That includes the exact Dampener, Standard Ball and Thumb set. Cold Plus is sold separately; the manual says only included attachments or the compatible Cold Plus should be attached. Check the seller's SKU and box list rather than treating optional therapies as supplied.
Explore this need in the finder →Are all five PRO Plus therapy types in the box?
Percussion, heat and vibration heads are supplied, while the manual describes 13 built-in near-infrared LEDs and a biometric sensor; Cold is the fifth therapy type but needs the separately sold Cold Plus attachment. The five therapies are not five supplied percussive heads, and the manual says infrared light is disabled during cold treatment. The screen and device buttons support operation; app pairing adds guides and needs an account.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I count on the PRO Plus runtime figure or body weight as a personal measurement?
No personal measurement was made. The current product page lists 1650 g without attachments, while the manual's US weight evidence does not add a separate scale measurement. For runtime, the product page says about 150 minutes on average with shorter use possible for some attachments; the manual says approximately 120 minutes. Treat that as unresolved maker guidance, not a guaranteed session length.

This assessment compares Therabody’s US PRO Plus product page with the English US manual linked from the brand’s support directory. No unit was purchased, handled, weighed, battery-timed, noise-tested or used on a person. I treat advertised benefits as manufacturer claims and focus on the actual kit, control path, documented mass and unresolved specifications.
Seven supplied attachments, but only five are percussion heads
The current product page lists five percussive attachments—Dampener, Standard Ball, Thumb, Wedge and Micro-point—plus a Heated Percussive Plus attachment and a Vibration Plus attachment. That is a broader standard kit than the Prime Plus, whose box lists three ordinary percussion heads and a heated head. The PRO Plus package therefore does satisfy the exact Dampener, Standard Ball and Thumb requirement; that is a useful distinction when a shopping list names contacts rather than broad therapy types.
Therabody describes five therapy types: percussive massage, heat, near-infrared LED, vibration and cold. The first four have supplied hardware or built-in LEDs in the documented package; cold is the exception. Its Cold Plus attachment is sold separately. The manual also says infrared light is not used during a cold treatment. Avoid counting compatible accessories as supplied features, or assuming every treatment runs at once.
The screen and sensor change the interaction
The US manual describes a TFT LCD, Quick Start controls, five physical percussion speeds and an on-screen force display. It documents 13 built-in infrared LEDs and a biometric sensor for heart-rate readings and guided-breathing routines. Those are on-device features; they should not be confused with a clinical measurement or a guarantee of recovery. The page’s efficacy and speed-of-recovery language is Therabody’s marketing, not a result verified in this review.
The manual also explains that routines and educational content can be accessed through the Therabody app, and that routines can be downloaded to the device. Pairing requires the phone’s Bluetooth, an app account and verified email. The device’s physical controls, screen and described Quick Start path mean the basic percussion operation is not presented as phone-only, but connected guidance is a separate setup burden. The manual’s biometric instructions caution against squeezing the sensor, which is relevant if that feature is a reason to choose the larger platform.
Heat and vibration are heads, not built-in body modes
The included Heated Percussive Plus head has three settings. The five standard contact heads remain the percussion choices; heat is delivered by its own attachment. Vibration uses another supplied attachment, while the manual identifies Cold Plus as optional. This distinction can prevent a misleading comparison where a promotional image shows a cold head that does not belong to the ordinary box.
For maintenance, the manual says to power down before changing attachments, line up the marked points and twist to lock. It warns against putting a finger between the attachment and device arm, and says only the included heads or the compatible Cold attachment should be fitted. The device is not waterproof or machine washable. Those are practical constraints to review before placing it in a gym bag or shared-care setting.
It is the heaviest documented Theragun in this shortlist
The current US product page lists 1,650 g without attachments. That is already 1.65 kg before the added heads, cable and pouch; it is a manufacturer specification, not a scale reading here. The exact page prints dimensions as 36 × 154 × 65 mm without attachments but does not label the axes. Because that string is not a clear fit or storage drawing, confirm usable dimensions with the manufacturer or seller before planning a shelf, drawer or travel case around it.
The current product page lists a travel pouch, while the English manual’s box diagram shows the attachments and cable without naming a pouch. That omission in the manual is not proof that the current package excludes one, but it is a reason to check the exact SKU and seller’s included-items list. The manual explicitly says the USB-C adapter is not sold with the device, so the charging cable alone should not be mistaken for a complete wall-charging setup.
Runtime is a conflict, and “quiet” is not a dB result
The current page says average use is about 150 minutes and can be shorter with some attachments. The matching US manual says approximately 120 minutes. Neither source reconciles its number to the other or supplies a shared test setting, so this review marks runtime evidence as conflicting. Neither duration is a guarantee, and this site did not time a battery.
The page and manual describe a QuietForce or quiet motor, but the reviewed exact-model evidence contains no numeric dB rating, measurement distance, selected speed or room protocol. That may still be a useful maker description, but it cannot be treated as an objective noise threshold. The manual also says to switch off before charging and not to operate while connected to power.
Who should compare it—and who should keep looking
PRO Plus has a clear evidence-backed niche for a shopper who explicitly wants the on-device screen, biometric sensor, five named percussion heads, heat and vibration in one large-format kit. Its full-size triangular multi-grip handle and documented 16 mm amplitude are different selection criteria from portability. It is not a compact choice: the 1,650 g bare device is far above the lighter Theragun options already reviewed.
Compare it with Prime Plus if weight and supplied attachments matter more than the sensor/screen layer. Prime Plus is listed at 886 g without heads and includes heat plus Dampener, Ball and Wedge; PRO Plus lists the additional Thumb and Micro-point percussion heads and Vibration attachment, but at almost twice that body mass. Neither source set gives a clear, non-conflicted runtime figure, and neither supplies a manufacturer dB rating. The standard PRO Plus does not meet a no-heat package requirement, and Cold is not an included head.
Bottom line
PRO Plus is best understood as a large, feature-dense platform rather than a simple massage gun. Its supplied heads cover several distinct contact shapes, it includes heat and vibration, and it adds screen routines, near-infrared LEDs and a biometric sensor. The corresponding tradeoffs are substantial body weight, an adapter that is not included, app account setup for connected routines, a cold head sold separately, a package-list discrepancy about the pouch, a dimension string worth confirming, and unresolved runtime claims. Check the precise model and package before buying; these specifications do not establish personal suitability or a treatment outcome.
